We aim to create an inclusive, nurturing and stimulating learning environment for all. We do this in the following ways:

  • By implementing Curriculum for Excellence and the values it encompasses
  • By providing the opportunity for children to learn in Gaelic and English
  • By enabling each child to develop to their full potential, being sensitive to individual needs and abilities
  • By working together to create a positive and supportive environment.

Our school has two bright open plan classrooms for Gaelic Medium Education and two large classrooms for English Medium Education. Our shared open area houses an extensive library and resources.

Our pupils have access to the shared High School Gym hall, music room, science room, computing suite and art room.

The playground is extensive containing a range of equipment, including recycled bottles wind breaker, vegetable garden and buddy bench. Pupils also have access to the all-weather sports pitch and a grass playing field, which is surrounded by farmland. A short walk from our school is The Green beach and Loch Bhasapol.

We have visiting accordion, piping, fiddle, flute, drumming and guitar instrumental instructors.

The Curriculum

Our implementation of Curriculum for Excellence enables our pupils to develop into Successful Learners, Effective Contributors, Confident Individuals and Responsible Citizens.
