Chemistry is an important requirement for many occupations. It is a fascinating journey from the very large scale objects in the Universe where the elements were made down to the very small scale objects, atoms. The new National Chemistry Courses provide pupils with a toolkit to help them understand our Chemical Universe. From the study of key chemical reactions to the structure of matter and the applications of Chemistry in our modern society, students gain the necessary knowledge and skills to progress to Higher and Advanced Higher level study. Our aim is to assist pupils to gain the necessary qualifications they need to continue studying in Further Education. And to ensure that all our students leave school equipped to understand scientific concepts they encounter in daily life or in the workplace. We also hope our students will enjoy investigating their own areas of interest and developing the confidence to communicate their own understanding of Chemistry.
